Global Missions

From its inception, Browncroft has been a church with a deep missions focus. We as a congregation engage deeply in world missions through our partners around the globe.

We love that God has extended our reach to over 40 countries. The majority of our partners work with least-reached people groups, Bible translation, church leadership training and students

There are so many ways to get involved!

Wolof 20th Anniversary Celebration

October 22 at 6pm in the Cafe

We are celebrating our 20 year long partnership with the Wolof people in Senegal, West Africa. Three of our current four missionaries will be at Browncroft to celebrate! Come try some Senegalese food, hear from those who have been a part since the very beginning and discuss what the future of the partnership will look like for the next generation.

Missions In Person

Connect with our missionary partners at lunch gatherings each month on Sundays at noon. Speak with visiting field workers, hear reports from short term teams, and get updates on world Christianity. Click a luncheon below to RSVP.

Through The Reach Initiative, we are partnering here in Rochester and around the world to bring the hope and help of Jesus. These highly-focused partnerships let Browncrofters pay particular attention to unreached people groups, being part of the global church, and getting involved right here in Rochester.

For twenty years Browncroft has been creating a network of cross-cultural workers, organizations, volunteers in Rochester, and like-minded churches. Together we are praying to see God work in Senegal, West Africa. Our partnership for the Wolof has as its goals to understand reached and unreached peoples; deepen prayer for global outreach; and help our partners in Senegal establish reproducing Wolof churches.

Browncroft is linking as a sister church with the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Miraflores, Lima, Peru. Browncroft and Miraflores will learn from each other and work on projects together over the next few years, with teams coming from Peru to Rochester and going from here to Lima,. Our goals are to experience global Christinaity; teach and encourage each other; and spread the gospel together.

Ladies Missionary Fellowship

The Missionary Fellowship groups provide a way for women to be more directly involved in Browncroft missions. There are two Fellowship groups, which each meet monthly. At the heart of each meeting are prayer, correspondence and service projects to encourage our supported missionaries.

Beta Circle Group

Meets at Browncroft on the first Thursday of the month at 11:30 am.

Psi Circle Group

Meets at Browncroft on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Dress a Girl Around the World

Providing a dress can change a girl’s destiny. Village pastors report that girls wearing a new dress appear cared-for, which discourages predators. A new dress shows a girl that someone really does care about her! Gather throughout the year as we make dresses for use by our field workers and short term teams around the world. Bring your sewing machine and scissors if you have them. There are also jobs that don’t require sewing!

Our Missions budget provides monthly support and project funds for all our missionary partners. This budget is funded by giving that is designated specifically to Missions, not included in our normal Operations budget. Funds are distributed with approximately 10% going to local missions, 20% to US missions, and 70% to international missions. You can also direct funds to support our Wolof partnership.

Give to Missions and the Wolof Fund two ways:

  • Check or cash: clearly mark part or all of your gift on an offering envelope found in the worship auditorium

  • Credit/Debit Card Online

We would love to walk with you on your path into long-term service in missions. We can help you vet an organization, assist with your preparation and offer mentoring and other kinds of support. Email our Missions Director.

We love sending teams to our trusted missionary partners! Our teams bring their practical skills and spiritual gifts for a week or two to help and encourage them in their long-term work. Each team of dedicated Browncrofters participates in a series of team meetings to ensure that they are prepared, and raises funds together as a team to cover costs. Support a Browncroft mission trip.
